3749 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY. Readings of prose and poetry by regional writers, hosted at a congenial Adirondack cafe. Inquire about participation at least three weeks prior to reading dates.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR WRITERS

Fiction Among Friends organizes and hosts events that offer writers instruction, inspiration, support, encouragement and the chance to network with other writers.

The Fiction Among Friends events include short workshops and longer multi-session workshops in a retreat setting where writers have extended blocks of time to make strides with the works-in-progress and sessions to share their work with peers and the writer-in-residence for valuable feedback.

In 2009 Fiction Among Friends began a cooperative effort with Debbie Swan, owner of Willows Bistro and gallery, to offer readings by area writers of prose and poetry. In its first year this program has presented readings by over thirty published and unpublished writers. Contact me if you would like to know more.
